OMAKASE Screening for Support Organization

September 24, 2010 · by hdonnell

We had the great pleasure of screening OMAKASE on Saturday afternoon at AgeSong, a retirement community that generously donates their community room to us for auditions and rehearsal space. And, we filmed a scene of OMAKASE on their beautiful rooftop! Thanks to Sushi Frausto at AgeSong for coordinating the event and to the actors, Larry Kitagawa and Suilma Rodriguez for attending a lively QandA session.

Kickstarter Success for ON IT

September 20, 2010 · by hdonnell

Huge thanks to our 39 Kickstarter backers who made funding possible for the bus rental!! We made more than our target amount before the deadline. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We are busy in post-production of the film and will keep you updated along the way. You are AWESOME for believing in us and lending your support through Kickstarter.  Please join our Shadow Angel Films Facebook fan page and stay connected!

ON IT Behind the Scenes – Timelapse on the Bus!

September 14, 2010 · by Chris

What an incredible ride on the bus! With such a hardworking and talented cast and crew, we ran right on schedule and got all the shots we needed.

Check out what happened on the bus and see how fast the day went by for us!

We’re still in need of your help in getting all the way to our pledge goal on Kickstarter! Please alert your network that there’s a great film project they can support for just $5 or $10, and send them our way. And thank you, dear backers, for all the lovin’ you’ve already given!

On It Rehearsal Tapes – The Blind Date

September 10, 2010 · by Chris

How did our main characters meet and fall in love?

We asked the actors to answer this question in a rehearsal that we ran as an improv exercise one night. Watch the highlights of that night here.

We are revved up and ready to shoot on Sunday! We have just 8 more days to make our target pledge goal. Please ask your network to support an indie project for as little as $5 or $10, get cool rewards, and our enthusiastic thanks! Learn more here.

Introducing the Leads for On It

September 7, 2010 · by Chris

For previous auditions, we asked actors to perform part of the script. This time, because ON IT is a series of missed phone calls and the actors would be working without each other for many scenes, we ran auditions as improv exercises to find the most quick-thinking and entertaining actors.

And we found them! Now we want to share the parts of their auditions that won us over. We are pleased to present the ON IT actors, Tom Lazur and Aliza Rupert!

Learn how you can help support ON IT here.

July 26, 2010 · by hdonnell

Finally SHADOW ANGEL is out in the world! We had a great premiere here in San Diego last night, and thanks to everyone who came out to support. Don Williams, lead actor, was stellar to have on the Q&A panel with us. Edie Smith, thank you for your publicity photo stunts and for always being there for us! Comic-Con truly is an amazing event and we were proud to be a part of it.
